The Governor of Guanajuato Diego SInhue Rodriguez Vallejo announces the program “United GTO Support after Covid 19”
EDUCAFIN will provide more than 15 million pesos for the school year 2020-2021 in support of students of preschool, elementary, junior-high, high school and University

In order to maintain in school those students whose parents died because of Covid 19, Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo announced the program “United GTO Support for Covid 19”
“I want to tell kids and teenagers from Guanajuato, those who have lost their mother or father because of Covid 19, that they are not alone, that they will go on in life, and the best way to do it is through education”, said the Governor.
Pre-school to University
“In the State Government we will support them with their school expenses, I have given instructions so that through EDUCAFIN, students in this situation, can get a scholarship to continue with their education, from pre-school to University”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
EDUCAFIN will provide a fund that is superior to 15 million pesos for the school year from August 2020 to June 2021, and starting this August 3rd those interested will be able to be informed on the program so that they can see all the requisites; register their application starting August 11th and they can see the results published on August 31st.
The amounts
The scholarships will be for one year and for a total amount of 2,700 pesos to 11 thousand pesos depending on the school year they study.
Also, the State Government will help all applicants in their process of application.
“With the support of Redes EDUCAFIN, we will go for this students, to find them, assist them in their process and register them, I have also asked the Secretary of Education of Guanajuato and the State DIF System, to help in the school reinsertion of those who have quitted their studies for this reason, so that they are supported”, noted Rodriguez Vallejo.
To be able to apply for this program solicitors should:
- Be Guanajuatense
- 2 years mínimum as a resident of Guanajuato
- Be a registered student of any public or private school with a RVOE by the SEP or SEG or Autonomous Universities
- be the son/daughter of a father and/or mother who died because of Covid 19 in Guanajuato
- Have a death certificate issued and validated by some public institution of the health sector
