Exhibitors, buyers and visitors were pleased with the Fair of the Americas

ANPIC Reconnection the 58th Edition on October 20th to 22nd at the Poliforum Leon, had the participation of 160 exhibiting companies at 680 stands, and total sales for more than 108 million pesos that will be completed in the short and mid term, according to what exhibitors reported in a report.
Better numbers
More than 9,200 buyers and visitors came to the fair from 19 countries like: Mexico, United States of America, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Germany, Spain, Chile, Italy, Argentina, Nigeria, Peru, Ecuador, and other, that was an increase of 4.7% of foreign visitors compared to the edition in May.
In national registries, the Suppliers Fair had visitors from 28 States of Mexico, mainly from: Guanajuato, Mexico City, State of Mexico, Jalisco, Puebla, Michoacan, Aguascalientes, Queretaro and Yucatan.
Great results
Based on polls of exhibitors, ANPIC is still a great showcase of opportunities to contact customers, position brands and create business opportunities. Also, 80% of exhibitors were able to contact new potential customers, a number well above the number of the Edition of the Fair in May 2021.
A good alternative
Visitors to ANPIC are looking (77%) for new suppliers of materials, know new technologies and create business opportunities, making the “Fair of the Americas” a leather, shoe and leather goods related event where business occur; also 71.7% of visitors rate ANPIC as the right fair to contact and capitalize new suppliers for their businesses.
The products that were more demanded at ANPIC Reconnection were: leather, machinery and equipment, soles, ironworks and lasts.
More than 60% of visitors were able to find products with ecological and sustainable characteristics.
Brazil was present
In the event there was a pavilion of international companies from Brazil with nine exhibitors of products like: tanning, chemicals, adhesives, polymers and synthetics. It was possible thanks to the collaboration of APIMEX; the Brazilian Association of Companies of Components of Leather, Shoe and Artifacts –ASSINTECAL- and the Center of Tanning Industries of Brasil –CICB-.
To benefit the industrial sector APIMEX presented the program of support and participation at ANPIC, it benefited more than 150 companies; also, 60 other companies received some support granted by the Government of Guanajuato to contribute to their participation in the fair.
All involved
As part of the collaboration with COFOCE, there was the Program of International Buyers, through which the visit of 21 international companies was posible within the scheme of programmed appointments for personalized attention in the event.
More than 60 exhibiting companies at ANPIC, had appointments with buyers, and they had talks to close deals in the short term for more than one million 613 thousand dollars.
Conferences at ANIC
Within ANPIC there was a cycle of conferences per day of the event. On the first day there were topics like statistics and data of the entrepreneurial scenery and the main conference was given by Guillermo Romero Pacheco, the Secretary of Economic Reactivation of Leon; On the second day the theme was on fashion and there were two main conferences one by Orietta Pelizzari and the other by Anna Fusoni, a fashion guru in Mexico.
On the third day the topics were digitalization, digital transformation, industrial companies and electronic commerce.
Pattern design
For the first time, there was a Shoe Pattern Course by Arsutoria at ANPIC during the three days of the event, 25 students were at the course and they were close to the entrepreneurial world and the course let buyers and visitors know the process and development and design of shoes.
Fashion and design hall
To support and launch new developers and creators of products in the leather goods-leather-shoes sector, ANPIC had the Hall of Fashion and Design, where five brands presented their products.
The brands are: Top Hard (hats), Manríquez (crafts), Ferre (ladies purses), Adro (shoes) and Modstill (clothes).
