The Governor of Guanajuato launches the 83rd Edition of Sapica as he declares that this State is advancing and won’t stop

Guanajuato keeps going further, the State is on its feet and a proof of that is the opening of the 83rd Edition of the Hall of Leather and Shoes –SAPICA-, said the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
A pillar of the State
“I am very glad to be here again with you supporting the development of this great shoe industry, one of the pillars of the development of Guanajuato”, said the Governor.
“Today this sector faces new challenges, and we are working to reactivate it, and Sapica is here to promote the industry”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
All precautions against Covid 19
Given the Covid 19 pandemic crisis the event is being held with a limited number of visitors and only buyers and exhibitors can show up in person. Those interested in conferences, can enjoy them virtually.
“These changes are welcome, they make us show the well known innovative spirit of the entrepreneurs of Guanajuato. Here, the problems do not stop us. We work as a team to face them and go over them. We turn them into new opportunities to enforce actions that generate development and progress”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
Honors to entrepreneurs
The Governor noted that the Chamber of the Shoe Industry of the State of Guanajuato is renovating its board of administration; Luis Gerardo Gonzalez Garcia finished as Chairman and Alfredo Padilla Villalpando came in for him.
Rodriguez Vallejo joined to the homage that CICEG dedicated to Jose Antonio Abugaber Andonie, in granting him the San Crispin de Oro, an award to an entrepreneurial trajectory that has helped make the shoe industry stronger.
A recognition
The Governor also congratulated Wilmar Nienow Herter, who was awarded the Silver Platter as a recognition to his work on behalf of the supply industry in the shoe sector.
The Governor confirmed all his support to CICEG, an organism that is presided by Alfredo Padilla Villalpando.
“With the support of your Board of Directors and of indutrials, you will maintain this institution as a key player of economic development of Guanajuato and of Mexico”, said the Governor.
Adapting to change
Rodriguez Vallejo said that Guanajuato will not stop, the State, said the Governor, only adapts to changes that have been generated by the Covid 19 pandemic, and the organization of Sapica is a proof of that, as well as the following events that are about to be held in Guanajuato, such as the Hannover Messe in Leon and the Expo Agro-Food in Irapuato and, the Governor revealed, starting January 2021 the Leon State Fair.
