In a sum of wills to achieve immersive learning experiences in students, the Guanajuato Secretary of Education signs a Participation Agreement with allies of the municipality of San Miguel de Allende within the Learning Territories program.
The participation agreement was signed by Juan Rendon Lopez, Regional Delegate for Education I, and representatives of the “El Charco del Ingenio” natural reserve, the Municipal Public Library and the “El Nigromante” Cultural Center, sites that become Territories of Learning and strategic allies for the fulfillment of the Social Pact for Education.
With the state program Learning Territories, historical, geographical, cultural, social and natural spaces and contexts are used to promote significant experiences and learning in children and adolescents, while strengthening their cognitive, socio-emotional and multicultural capacities.
“Thank you for becoming allies of the SEG in this first stage of the Learning Territories program; I am sure that San Miguel de Allende has many more places to visit and that will allow us to learn from them… Thank you for becoming spaces that promote culture, history, knowledge, and arts that strengthen education outside of the classroom,” said the regional head of Education.
The director of El Charco del Ingenio AC, Mario Arturo Hernandez Pena, was pleased to participate in a project that seeks to recover and strengthen learning, while reflecting on the importance of municipal spaces, “we open the doors to this program that is finally a community project and it needs everyone to build better opportunities and spaces”, said Hernandez.
