To keep strengthening Guanajuato’s economic environment through coordinated and regional strategies, the State Secretary of Economy held a working meeting with representatives of the municipalities that make up the Central, Northern, and NorthEastern Regions.

The head of the Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, emphasized that this exercise reflects the vision of the Government of the People, led by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, who has promoted a governance model based on innovation, economic inclusion, and digital efficiency.

“Working together with municipalities is key to moving toward a more agile, transparent, and well-being-oriented environment. We’re committed to more citizens and fewer service windows,” said Villasenor.
During the meetings, progress was shared on Regulatory Improvement, a tool that provides municipalities with more efficient tools for serving citizens, attracting investment, and boosting local economic development.

The economic assessment of the regions was also presented, serving as a basis for designing actions aligned with the productive vocations and priorities of each territory.
As part of these sessions, the municipality of Leon was designated as the representative of the Central Region on the State Council for Regulatory Improvement, a position that will be held by the president of the municipal council, Salvador Sanchez Romero.

The municipality of San Felipe was appointed as representative of the Northern Region, and Doctor Mora as representative of the North-East Region, with the aim of strengthening coordination and monitoring agreements in this area.
The Central Region is made up of the municipalities of Guanajuato, Leon, Silao, Romita, San Francisco del Rincon, and Purisima del Rincon.

The Northern Region is made up of Ocampo, Dolores Hidalgo CIN, San Felipe, San Diego de la Union and San Miguel de Allende.
The Northeast Region is made up of Atarjea, Doctor Mora, San Jose Iturbide, San Luis de la Paz, Santa Catarina, Tierra Blanca, Victoria and Xichu.

Regulatory Improvement represents a decisive step toward building a more competitive Guanajuato, where MSMEs can grow, generate employment, and contribute to balanced regional development.
These actions strengthen the State’s economic powerhouse and ensure that each region has a voice and active participation in the development of public policies that directly impact the quality of life of Guanajuatenses.
