The tenacity of women transforms generations; we recognize their historical work to build a better world: Governor

“It is time to support women, we have a historical debt with women and we have to make them visible, recognize them and act accordingly”, said Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo.
The Governor was at the celebrations for the 200 years of Guanajuato being a Free and Sovereign Federative State, when recognizing the Guanajuato women who have stood out in various areas of society, with the ‘Women Who Change the World, Inspiring Greatness’ award.
“Today I want to congratulate you with great gratitude for everything you have done for your families, for the people, for your environment, for peace, for science, for sports, for generating jobs, for education and health. Thank you for believing and making your dreams come true”, said the Governor.
For Guanajuato, said the governor, women have had a primary role in economic and social development; they play a first-level role in building strong families with values such as respect, love and unity.
“Today and always we want you to receive our recognition of your generosity, your talent and your ability to achieve your goals, your great effort to achieve your dreams”, said the Governor.
“Today I want to recognize your dedication to help others, you are a living example of love for others,” said the Governor after presenting the awards to outstanding women in their work.
The call for the ‘Women Who Change the World, Inspiring Greatness’ award was carried out by the Guanajuato Celebrations Commission for the 200 years of being a Free and Sovereign Federative State; It was done in 12 categories and 1,497 candidates were proposed.
In the category “Women Promoters of Peace”, María Lourdes Martínez Hurtado was named; for “Women Helping People”, María del Socorro Vieyra Cabrera was awarded; in “Women in Sports”, Laura Esther Galván Rodríguez was honored; for “Women, Future with Greatness”, the recognition went to Ana Karen Bonilla Arreguin.
“They are all a great example for all of us; the life, the career, the dedication of each one of you inspires us, motivates us and pushes us,” said the Governor.
