La Judea and the artisanal tradition of Purisima del Rincon were presented and promoted in the Senate of the Republic as part of the “Made in Guanajuato” showcase

The municipality of Purisima del Rincon participated in the “Made in Guanajuato” program within the Senate of the Republic, where they promoted the tradition of La Judea, an emblematic celebration with 152 years of history, as well as the talent of the State’s artisans and producers.
The presence of Purisima del Rincon was possible thanks to an invitation of Senator Miguel Marquez Marquez to Mayor Roberto Garcia Urbano. Representing the mayor was Roberto Camargo, Municipal Director of Tourism, who was with artisan Bernabe Reyes, a recognized creator of the municipality’s traditional masks.
Municipal President Roberto Garcia Urbano has been emphatic about the importance of fostering and promoting this destination, boosting the value of its crafts, and encouraging citizens to actively participate in the preservation and strengthening of its traditions. The presence of Purisima del Rincon is being driven on national platforms to give greater visibility to its cultural richness.
On November 18 and 19, La Judea masks were exhibited, and products made by Purisima del Rincon´s artisans were offered, sharing the municipality’s cultural and artistic treasures with the public. This participation was part of Made in Guanajuato, a space dedicated to promote the work of artisans and producers who strengthen the State’s identity and economy.
Roberto Camargo, Director of Tourism of Purisima del Rincon, noted the importance of taking advantage of these national and international stages to project the municipality’s traditions.
“It is essential to bring our traditions closer to new audiences, strengthen the promotion of Purisima del Rincon, and open up more opportunities for our artisans to generate greater economic benefit,” said Camargo.
The official noted that the Direction of Tourism continues to work closely with local artisans to promote their products, consolidate their presence in new markets, and position the La Judea tradition as a cultural benchmark for the State of Guanajuato.
