The Municipality dedicates a song of unity to Purisimenses

The Christmas spirit arrived in Purisima del Rincon with the spectacular lighting of the holiday display and the 2025 Christmas Tree. The event brought entire families together under the theme “Unity that Binds”, a commemoration of identity and memory meant to inspire new dreams.
The magical evening was marked by the illusion and hope of the upcoming holidays. Mayor Roberto Garcia Urbano, accompanied by members of the City Council and his wife, Enriqueta Martinez Lopez (President of the DIF Board), led the festivities. Together, they distributed candy to families gathered along the route leading to the main garden.
During the central event, Mayor Garcia Urbano addressed the population, emphasizing unity and the importance of reflecting on the values that define the community of Purisima.
“Christmas is the ideal moment to remember who we are, where we come from, and where we want to go, by recovering unity and respect,” the message conveyed. It highlighted that “harvesting from the orchard of the past” shows the path to work together and endure through time.
The celebration kicked off with a vibrant parade led by the performance group Cornisa 20 and city officials. Vehicles were transformed into a spectacle of lights and color; notably, the sanitation trucks were decked out for the holidays, and the picturesque tourist train was adorned with Santa Claus’s sleigh, spreading joy along its path.
The evening reached its climax with the official lighting ceremony. Upon arrival at the main square, a drone show illuminated the night sky, forming Christmas figures that amazed the crowd. This visual presentation was complemented by artificial snow and the melodious theme song, creating the night’s main attraction.
The song dedicated to the Purisimenses was performed by Levy, Naomi, Lila, Cesar, Frida, led by Felipe Argot. Together, they recorded the track “Unidad que Enlaza,” created by Gerardo Lopez, which features a special mention of Purisima del Rincon.
The atmosphere of wonder and community continued with a highly applauded performance by the La Merced Choir, which later gave way to a special Christmas market featuring local producers.
