A State Government program gives producers access to financing plans that makes it posible for them to improve and increase their production

The Government of Guanajuato, through the Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development –SDES- and Guanajuato Funds, will allocate 30 million pesos in financing for the footwear sector of the Pueblos del Rincon.
The program scheme will be through solidarity groups, that is, three businessmen will be able to support each other in a group of three, and each one will receive financing of up to $250,000 pesos for working capital, with terms of up to 36 months and a rate of 4.8 percent annually.
The procedures can be carried out both at the Fondo Guanajuato branches, as well as at the economic directorates of the municipalities, and at the Rincon Business Association; in the city of San Francisco del Rincon.
This financial program is the result of the work tables that were held in an institutional and coordinated manner between mayors of the Pueblos del Rincon, entrepreneurs in the sector and the State Government.
The main goal is to protect the footwear industry, so that it can compete on equal terms on a global level.
At a press conference, the head of the Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development, Ramon Alfaro Garcia, pointed out that among the main requests from footwear entrepreneurs is the creation of a financial program with favorable conditions.
“This way, SDES and Fondos Guanajuato worked together to create a financial program that responds to the needs of the Rincon’s businessmen”, said Alfaro.
“It is a tailor-made suit for entrepreneurs in the footwear sector in the municipalities of the Rincon, we hope that the financing is timely, because we want to take advantage of them for the December holidays, which is one of the best sales seasons”, said Alfaro Gomez.
He added that in addition to this credit, several actions are planned in favor of the footwear sector, such as a greater presence at Footwear Fairs with a pavilion where they can show their products.
The General Director of Fondos Guanajuato, Juan Antonio Guzman Acosta, said that the credit for entrepreneurs in the footwear sector is an extension of the program for merchants that the financial organization already works on.
The financing is aimed at people who are dedicated to:
- The design, manufacturing, distribution, marketing and sale of all types of footwear activities established in Guanajuato
Guzman Acosta added that, to have access to financing, interested associations must be registered and have certification from the Undersecretary of Development for MSMEs of the SDES.
At the moment there are 46 credits in process, for Entrepreneurs of the Towns of the Rincon.
Also present at the press conference were the Mayor of San Francisco del Rincon, Antonio Marun, as well as the President of the Business Association of the Towns of the Rincon, Rodolfo Carmona Castillo.
