The Secretary of Government and Secretary of Public Works visit the Municipalities that suffered attacks

Following instructions of Governor of Guanajuato, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the Secretary of Government, Jorge Daniel Jimenez Lona and of Public Works, Juan Pablo Perez Beltran, visited the municipalities of Acambaro and Jerecuaro, to provide support and solidarity to those affected by the attacks that occurred in recent days.
“Our governor asked us to be present, to visit those affected to send them a message of support and solidarity; fortunately there are no human losses to mourn, there is only one colleague who is recovering in the municipality of Acambaro,” said the Secretary of Government, Jorge Daniel Jimenez Lona, during the tour of the areas that were damaged by the explosions.
The secretary reaffirmed to the inhabitants of both municipalities that “they can count on their Governor, the State Government is working hand in hand with Mayors; we will be very present in the municipalities, supporting the rehabilitation of the spaces, and also addressing the psychological issue, which is very important for the residents.”
Jimenez Lona said that it is a time of unity and support for the families of Acambaro and Jerecuaro, and as an example he said that the rural area of Acámbaro was reinforced with the presence of 300 elements of the Secretary of National Defense -SEDENA-.
The Secretary of Public Works, Juan Pablo Perez Beltren, said “I want to tell the citizens that they can count on the Government of the People to support them. Governor Libia Dennise has instructed us to be here to listen to you first hand and assist you. Technical reviews will be carried out to determine the structural damage and to attend to it as soon as possible”.
Mayor Claudia Silva Campos, participated in the tour in Acambaro. Also, the State Authorities made a tour in the municipality of Jerecuaro with mayor Maria Isabel Acevedo Mercado.
The State will provide support to 28 families in the municipality of Acambaro, including reimbursement for those who have already repaired the property after verification, repairs for those who need to replace windows, psychological support and support to 3 businesses for their economic reactivation.
In Jerecuaro, a survey of all the damages was carried out with Public Works and Civil Protection, to support 26 businesses and 30 homes; in view of the structural damage to the portal in the downtown area, which is a property listed by the INAH, a restoration project will be developed.
“Only material damage was reported, we will be responding with repairs to glass, aluminum windows, and in the case of Jerecuaro, the economic activity of businesses will be reactivated, we will be close and attentive,” said Jimenez Lona.
The Secretary of Government Jorge Daniel Jimenez Lona said that the State will remain firm in matters of security, coordinating with federal authorities regarding the events that occurred and, above all, helping in whatever is necessary to clarify the investigation being carried out by the Attorney General’s Office.
