Six of Guanajuato’s most outstanding young voices will surprise passers-by next weekend at the Plaza del Baratillo, at the premiere of the concert “Opera from the heart to the balcony”, prepared by Opera Guanajuato and the State Institute of Culture.
The cast for this project, which will offer performances on July 29 and August 5, is made up of the sopranos Cristina Delgado, Margarita Martinez and Carolina Torres, the tenors Misael Corralejo and Luis Xa Santiago and the baritone Daniel Perez Urquieta,
on the piano is Braulio Alcaraz.
“Opera from the heart to the balcony” will include a selection of duets of opera, zarzuela and musical theater, inspired by composers such as Giacomo Puccini, Georges Bizet, Gioacchino Rossini, Charles Gounod, Pablo Sorozabal, Leonard Bernstein, Gaetano Donizetti, Ambroise Thomas and Manuel Miranda, in addition to
traditional Mexican music.
