The company reaches an accumulated investment of 1.2 billion dollars in Guanajuato

“Toyota continues to increase its production in Guanajuato with the new investment it will make of 328 million dollars in its plant in Apaseo El Grande, announced the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
The investment is for the adaptation of its lines in order to produce a new generation of TACOMA, for the North American market, which will be hybrid-electric, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
Now Toyota reaches an accumulated investment of 1 thousand 200 million dollars in Guanajuato, generating 2 thousand 577 jobs, said the Governor.
The President of Toyota Motor de Mexico, Luis Lozano Olivares, said “we thank the Governor and the State Government delegation for being at our headquarters. Since October 2021 we began the preparation of the new generation of TACOMA in Guanajuato”, said Lozano.
“And we are excited that this plant is going to play a very important role in the manufacturing of Toyota in North America,” he said.
The Governor thanked the Toyota executives for continuing to trust Guanajuato to develop their investment projects, and strengthen the Guanajuato Automotive Cluster, the most important in Latin America.
“We will continue here in Japan, promoting our beloved Guanajuato,” said Rodriguez Vallejo.
At this work meeting, the Governor was accompanied by the Secretary for Sustainable Economic Development, Ramon Alfaro Gomez; the Undersecretary of Investment Attraction of the SDES, Alejandro Hernandez Fonseca, and the General Coordinator of Social Communication, Alan Sahir Marquez Becerra.
