In order to provide a space for analysis and reflection centralized in the impact of the Virtual University of the State of Guanajuato -UVEG-, the event Grandeza UVEG was held, an unprecedented event that reunited speakers, participants from the general public, strategic allies and the UVEG community made up of students from different education programs, teachers, collaborators and special guests.
The day included December 7 and 8 at the historic Juarez Theater in Guanajuato City, where the symbolic fire was recently lit as part of the Celebrations of Guanajuato for its 200 years as a Federative, Free and Sovereign State, with a relevance that is promoted by various sectors, where education has been central.
During the two days of activities, panels, conferences and talks were held on topics related to Human Flourishing and Federalism by prominent personalities in the education sector, as well as entrepreneurs and international leaders on topics related to human development and Education as a trigger for well-being.
Rector of UVEG, Ricardo Narvaez, noted the great achievements in 16 years, recognizing the work and support of previous administrations, as well as the current one, headed by Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
“UVEG is a fundamental part of the life stories of this country. Greatness UVEG aims to highlight the significant contribution of this great State through UVEG. During this event, we will address crucial topics, including the actions towards the humanization of virtuality. At UVEG we assume this role that society requires, of training professionals with a high sense of social and human responsibility,” said Narvaez.
Maria Adriana Camarena de Obeso, General Director of the State Institute of Culture, celebrated the great work done by UVEG by providing new opportunities for personal and professional development through the education of people in Guanajuato and even beyond our borders.
The event also served as a stage for the presentation of UVEG’s new education model, focused on the human being as the key to achieving happiness and fulfillment. This model reflects the institution’s continuous commitment to staying at the forefront of virtual education and being a benchmark in constant evolution.
“We believe in the need to continually renew ourselves. Education now, and now more when we are in this virtuality, has been evolving. The center of education is the human being and what we are looking for is for the human being to be happy, to be fulfilled and to be able, in addition, to be an agent of change, of social responsibility in his/her environment with others”, said Rector Ricardo Narvaez, who said that starting in January the new education model will be available on the platform.
Greatness UVEG was not only a commemorative event but a milestone in the consolidation of UVEG as an education reference, contributing to the enrichment of the education landscape in Mexico and beyond.
