Bodega Aurrera, the low-cost focused self-service retail chain, has finalized a new strategic investment in Guanajuato with the opening of a branch in Romita.
This expansion move not only increases the retailer’s installed capacity in Guanajuato but also promises a tangible economic impact through job creation and the boosting of local purchasing power.
The new Bodega Aurrera store, located on the La Muralla exit on the west side of the municipal seat, represents significant capital directly injected into the Romita economy. This project is viewed by authorities as a catalyst for the municipality’s economic and social development.
Romita Mayor, Pedro Tanamachi, attended the inaugural ceremony and underscored the importance of the chain’s arrival in terms of commercial competition and consumer benefit.
“The arrival of Bodega Aurrera in Romita is excellent news. It not only expands the commercial offer, but also provides our citizens with an option to stretch their budget, which is fundamental for family well-being,” said Mayor Tanamachi, highlighting the self-service store’s role in domestic inflation containment.
Bodega Aurrera representatives reiterated that the opening of the new branch reinforces their corporate mission to be an ally of the consumer by guaranteeing the “lowest prices.” This value proposition translates into an increase in purchasing power for Romitenses.
