For the second time, this inclusive zone promotes the social reintegration of those seeking a new beginning from the 11 penitentiary centers of Guanajuato

There’s something for everyone: from leather wallets, wooden toys, bags, to crocheted plush toys, and they’re already on sale at the 2026 Leon State Fair.
This is “Artesanos Nuevo Comienzo”, products made by the hands of 60 imprisoned people from the eleven State Centers for Prevention and Social Reintegration of Guanajuato (Cepreresos), and who for the second time have a stand inside the People’s Pavilion.
The inclusive project is promoted by the People’s Government, under the vision of Governor Libia Denisse Garcia Munoz Ledo, to encourage inclusion and strive for true social reintegration, through the hands of women and men, who crafted each of the products with the hope that they will have a new home.
The more than one thousand handicrafts will be on display from January 9th to February 4th in the People’s Pavilion, in front of room C2, stand 34.
Last year, imprisoned individuals sold 2,660 items at various municipal fairs. This not only provides economic support for the individuals inside the reintegration centers, but also for their families, and promotes self-employment.
