Governor heads Flag Day ceremony. In the ceremoiny 28 escorts from primary, secondary, upper secondary and higher education schools received their flag

The National Flag represents the best of us, the pride of being Mexican, our culture, traditions and identity as a country, said the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
“Today we come to endorse our love for Mexico. The National Flag also represents our brotherhood and solidarity. Our history, those moments in which we achieved Independence and forged the character of a new Nation”, said the Governor as he headed the Flag Day ceremony.
Rodriguez Vallejo pointed out that although the National Flag has changed over the years, it has always been a symbol of unity and joy for Mexicans. “Today we have a flag that is one of the most beautiful in the world, but beyond that, it is a national symbol of which we are very proud.”
“How many of us express our national pride through our Flag, be it in international sports competitions, or when we visit other countries. It has always been our greatest pride, because beyond what its colors represent, it represents what we feel for Mexico”, noted the Governor. “And it represents love for the Homeland, which also means love for our family and everything that is our country”.
To the 28 escorts who received a new Flag, to each and every teacher and student, I ask you to value all the significance that this ceremony has for Mexicans, the Governor wished that: “With this commemoration and flagging, you feel the deep pride of being Mexican”.
“That you also feel proud of having been born in Guanajuato, which is the Cradle State of National Independence. That you feel proud to be in a great city like San Miguel de Allende, a very important place in our national history,” said the Governor.
“Mexico is all of us. All united with a great purpose: to honor our Patriotic Banner. Congratulations,” said the Governor as he spoke to children present in the ceremony.
The ceremony was held on the esplanade of the Municipal Administrative Building of San Miguel de Allende.
