As part of the strategy of the Government of the People to diversify the economy and strengthen emerging sectors, the first edition of the Wellness Yourself Forum was held, a pioneering event in the region that positions Guanajuato as a leader in the development of wellness tourism.
On behalf of the Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, the Undersecretary for the Development of MSMEs, Froylan Salas Navarro, recognized the commitment of the business sector and strategic allies to consolidate Guanajuato as a competitive destination in this niche market.
“This sector promotes local production chains, encourages responsible consumption, and creates opportunities for micro, small, and medium-sized businesses dedicated to services, natural products, comprehensive health, and wellness technology,” said Salas Navarro.
The forum brings together companies, experts, and entrepreneurs in a space that promotes the exchange of ideas, the creation of business alliances, and the professionalization of tourism offerings focused on physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
This first edition features keynote addresses, expert panels, and a trade pavilion with the participation of Marca Gto companies. Additionally, the Secretary of Economy facilitates business meetings designed to strengthen the local economic ecosystem linked to tourism and health.
Events like Wellness Yourself are key to the State Government’s long-term vision of building a more diversified, sustainable, and humane economy. This forum not only boosts Guanajuato’s tourism competitiveness but also promotes innovation, entrepreneurship, and social development.
“From the Secretary of Economy, we reaffirm our commitment to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises to integrate into new markets, strengthen their competitiveness, and become key players in emerging sectors such as wellness tourism”, said Froylan Salas.
