Viva Aerobus opens new flight routes to and from San Antonio and Houston-Guanajuato
Guanajuato turns into an important destunation and connectivity center

Viva Aerobus the Mexican airline informed two new routes from Texas to the International Airport of Guanajuato:
- San Antonio-Guanajuato-San Antonio
- Houston-Guanajuato- Houston
Creating opportunities
State Authorities praised the Directors of Viva Aerobus, because it is a socially responsible company, and a pioneer at creating opportunities so that more Mexicans travel by plane.
The airline has been in operation for 15 years and now Viva Aerobus increases its offer of flights.
Since the beginning
One of the first routes on which Viva Aerobus trusted as it started its operations in Mexico was the route Monterrey-Bajio in November 2006.
Today this airline has 7 routes from the International Airport in Guanajuato.
Four of these routes are national:
- Cancun
- Ciudad Juarez
- Monterrey
- Tijuana
Three of the routes are international:
- Chicago in the Winter
- Houston
- San Antonio
From Guanajuato to the world
The International Airport of Guanajuato has a fundamental role in connectivity in the world, because it unites Guanajuato with the main tourist and business destinations all over the world.
Today Viva Aerobus is the only airline in BJX Airport that operates the routes to Monterrey, Ciudad Juarez and San Antonio, Texas.
From BJX-Guanajuato, you can travel to:
- 8 national routes
- 3 beach destinations
- 3 border cities
- one to Monterrey
- one to CDMX
10 International routes:
- Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, San Jose, Sacramento, Fresno and Oakland, and now since May the route to San Antonio, Texas which also adds to the capacity of the route to Houston.
- The route to San Antonio will operate Tuesdays and Saturdays and the flights to Huston operates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Viva Aerobus is the third company in units on its fleet with 44 aircrafts.
