The MIT REAP Focus Mexico Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program, by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology -MIT-, consolidates the Valley of Mindfacture by providing a methodology to strengthen the ecosystem by increasing innovation capacities and technology-based entrepreneurship.
IDEA GTO and allied organizations, participated in a three-day workshop where MIT professors and people belonging to the MIT REAP program shared experiences, methodologies and analysis tools of entrepreneurship ecosystems around the world.
The representatives of the Valle de la Mentefactura participated as part of the program that includes 18 months of different activities with a base team of leaders from Guanajuato who work to detect capabilities and thereby formulate an acceleration model. All in order to apply initiatives to innovate and start businesses with the MIT REAP methodology.
The workshops and conferences were given by professors and members of the MIT Sloan School of Management such as Michael Cusumano, Philip Budden, Shari Loessberg, Scott Stern and Bill Aulet, plus professors from the MIT community like Jose Pacheco and Jorge Guzman.
The Guanajuato delegation was received by the Consul of Mexico in Boston, Alberto Fierro.
Also, the participants held meetings with global ecosystem leaders whose innovative vision revolutionize the world.
The MIT REAP methodology has been applied in more than 70 ecosystems around the planet. With this activity, the Valley of Mindfacture, under the vision of Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, joins a global network of ecosystems led by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
This program has the leadership of the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey Leon campus. The work team brings together entrepreneurial profiles such as Kone Care and the Coparmex Leon entrepreneurship coordination.
Corporations such as BanBajio and Grupo Flecha Amarilla participate, as well as investors such as Da Vinci Capital and Iktea Capital.
Among universities, ITESM Leon and the National School of Higher Studies Leon Unit UNAM participate. IDEA GTO is a participant of the public sector as the responsible for invigorating the Valle de la Mentefactura.
