In a press release the secretary of National Defense –SEDENA- announced the arrival of more staff to Guanajuato.
“The Secretary of National Defense, through the Commands of the XII Military Region and the 16th Military Zone, informed to civilians that to stregthen the integral strategy of security of the Mexican State; on April 17th of this year, 1,250 elements of the Mexican Army and of the National Guard arrived in Guanajuato; the elements are part of the Joint Task Force “Mexico”, that has the goal of doing activities that lead to inhibit the activities of organized crime and drug-traffic”, informs the press release.
“The 1,250 staff are deployed in different municipalities of Guanajuato, to add their effort to the inter-institutional operations under way in coordination with the three levels of Government, to revert the homicide and crime rates linked to organized crime, strengthening the Rule of Law, acting at all times in full respect to human rights”, informs SEDENA.
“With these actions the Mexican Army and the National Guard, confirm the firm decision of the Federal Government to go on acting against the organized crime, confirming the commitment to watch for and safeguard the well being of citizens, guaranteeing peace and security of Mexicans in the Country”, it is informed in the press release issued by SEDENA.
