The Governor insists in his commitment to continuously work for the migrants from Guanajuato in USA

In a work tour in Los Angeles, the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, had a reunion with immigrant leaders in California, he also spent time with families from Guanajuato who are beneficiaries of the program Mineros de Plata and he had an interview with the head of the Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles.
The Governor started activities here with a visit to the Official Residence of Mexico, where he talked to Marcela Celorio, who heads the Mexican Consulate in the Los Angeles County.
Rodriguez Vallejo talked to Celorio about the progress Guanajuato has reached in education, health, trade, tourism and on the newly created Bajio Alliance with the Mexican States of Jalisco, San Luis Potosi, Queretaro and Aguascalientes.
Rodriguez Vallejo also talked about security and he said that the Government is investing and adopting effective strategies in collaboration with the Federal Government.
Marcela Celorio talked to Rodriguez Vallejo about the work they are doing to protect Mexicans and about programs in different areas to inform the community.
Celorio offered the Governor of Guanajuato the premises of the Consulate to hold cultural, entrepreneurial and trade actions by Guanajuatenses and she noted the vision and work by the Governor to promote the development of Guanajuato.
Juan Hernandez, head of the Secretary of the Migrant and International Connection was with the Governor in this visit; also in the visit were Armando Solis, Mayor of Huanimaro; Sergio Aguirre, from Tu Casa Guanajuato, and by the Consulate also were present Adriana Argaiz from the Department of Community Affairs and Sandra Lopez from the Department of Policy and Tourism.
With migrant leaders
Rodriguez Vallejo went on in his work tour in the Communitary Center of Fullerton. Here the Governor had a reunion with leaders of the migrant community, who offered Rodriguez Vallejo choices to make more productive their cooperation with the Government of Guanajuato through the Secretary of the Migrant and International Connection.
The community leaders exposed some problems in their communities. The Governor insisted in his commitment to keep working for the Guanajuatenses who live in the United States; “in Guanajjuato we have a direction and vision, thanks to people like you, count on our support”, said the Governor.
The Silver Miners get to California
Before coming to an end of this work tour, Rodriguez Vallejo welcomed 41 elder members of the program Mineros de Plata, who reunited with their sons and daughters some of whom they had not seen for more than ten years.
The elders, members of Mineros de Plata were supported by the State Government and municipalities, Migrant Clubs and their families; they are from Huanimaro and Abasolo.
