“We all sang the 2 anthems in a very solemn and respectful way, that of Mexico of course and that of the United States, with all this nostalgia that the people of Guanajuato have for their Country, for their State, for their communities, it was truly a very moving event”, said Vallejo.
The Official added that since its founding in 1931, the Mexican Civic Patriotic Committee is one of the pillars of the Mexican-American community of Los Angeles and they have turned this festival into a symbol of Mexican unity that consolidates, strengthens and roots the traditions that give us identity.
Another event was “Guanajuato and its Culture”, held by the Organization of Latino Migrants of Guanajuato in California and Casa Morelia.

There they were able to enjoy the flavor of the traditional cooks, who prepared pozole and typical appetizers, artisans, businessmen, rug makers, dances, ballets, singers, among other activities.
“It was all with a very festive atmosphere, all in a very respectful space, but it was all Mexico. The music, the flavors, the smells, the community shouting, celebrating, in truth, Guanajuato’s participation was fundamental because it has a community, because it has an important presence in this city of Downey, so we couldn’t stop participating”, said one of the organizers.
Guerra Vallejo said that although the State Government currently has four liaison offices in the United States that offer essential procedures that make life easier for Guanajuato migrants, to benefit with activities such as workshops and service fairs in which it is important to participate to promote roots.
