Guanajuatense migrants and the State Government invest more than 10 million pesos in works for San Diego de la Union

The Government of Guanajuato, through the Secretary for Migrants and International Liaison -SMEI-, joined forces with migrant clubs and the municipal government of San Diego de la Unión to begin five projects that will benefit 390 families.
Susana Guerra Vallejo, head of the agency, reported that these benefited points are located in the communities of:
- San Jose de Gracia
- La Sauceda
- San Antonio
- El Cerrito
- Rosa de Castilla
“The works that have begun include paving two streets, rehabilitating a rural road, expanding a community development center and building a public park. A total of more than 10 million pesos will be invested”, said Guerra Vallejo.
Guerra explained that, of this amount:
- Migrants will contribute 800 thousand pesos
- The municipality 5 million pesos
- The Secretary for Migrants and International Liaison 4 million 250 thousand pesos
Guerra said that these works are part of the program “Support without Borders”, with which the SMEI join resources with migrant clubs of Guanajuatense residents living in the United States and with municipal governments to carry out works in their communities of origin such as streets, plazas, sports fields, among other.
Guerra Vallejo pointed out that in addition to these works, personnel from the department she directs, participated in a services fair organized by the municipality of San Diego de la Union to bring our programs and services closer. With these actions, the State Government works together with our fellow countrymen residing in the United States to improve the quality of life of their loved ones living in Guanajuato.
