Guanajuato and Michoacán continue to strengthen their friendship as Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo met with the Governor, Alfredo Ramirez Bedolla, to share experiences on the strategies that make of Guanajuato a national benchmark in economic growth.
The Governor of Guanajuato noted the strategies that have been observed in Guanajuato continuously for 30 years with public policies to generate a business ecosystem and thus achieve positive indicators for the development of the State.
The meeting, in which the mayors of Silao, Carlos Garcia Villasenor, and of Lazaro Cardenas, Maria Itze Camacho Zapiain, also participated, was held in Guanajuato Puerto Interior.
The Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development, Ramon Alfaro, and the directors of Guanajuato Puerto Interior, Hector Lopez Santillana and COFOCE, Luis Ernesto Rojas, as well as Governor Diego Sinhue, presented the main actions of Guanajuato in terms of logistics, export and economy.
As part of this visit, the authorities of both Atates made a tour to learn about the business, academic and security infrastructure of Guanajuato Puerto Interior, considered the most important dry port in the country.
They also visited the facilities of companies such as the Volkswagen Plant, which is an important generator of jobs for Guanajuatenses besides contributing to the strengthening of the Guanajuato automotive cluster.
Here they toured the engine production spaces and the new infrastructure projects, among other areas.
The group visited the facilities of the IECA “Richard E. Dauch”, where they learned about the training, safety and quality programs, where young people learn various manufacturing production processes.
This visit is part of the work done by both Governments to strengthen the relation between Guanajuato and Michoacan, after the commercial signing between the Port of Lazaro Cardenas and Guanajuato Puerto Interior last May.
