Mexico trusts in Guanajuato for its attraction of investment

The attraction of investment to Guanajuato and the trust of investors in the State has an influence in the good perception of Mexico

With an investment exceeding $3.575 billion and the creation of more than 55,280 jobs, more than 188 Mexican-owned projects have established operations in Guanajuato since 2006.

Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo reaffirms her commitment to continue promoting the competitive advantages that make Guanajuato a reliable investment destination, with the support of the People’s Government, which provides certainty for the consolidation of the industry in the state.

The Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villaseñor Aguilar, highlighted the economic policy strategy to attract targeted, complementary, and sustainable investments that add value to the local economy and open up new opportunities for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

Mexican investments in Guanajuato have been established in municipalities all over the Geography of Guanajuato.

These projects span diverse sectors like:

• Agro-food, automotive and auto parts, services, household appliances, construction, ceramics and materials, metalworking, general industry, plastics, leather and footwear, new technologies, chemicals, textiles and clothing, aeronautics, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, and information technology

A reliable investment destination

During the current state administration, 34 projects have been completed, representing an investment of $2.95 billion and a commitment to create more than 8,430 jobs.

These projects have been established in municipalities within and outside the industrial corridor. These investments represent a strategic step forward to diversify and consolidate the value chain of the various economic sectors operating in Guanajuato.

With these projects, the State consolidates its position as a reliable destination of investment, attracting targeted, complementary, and sustainable projects that put it in the spotlight around the world.

The People’s Government, through the Secretary of Economy, continues to prospect, attract, and explore new investment projects to create quality jobs that generate prosperity for Guanajuatense families.
