Training, networking, and pre-arranged business meetings in an exclusive interaction format of buyers and destination promoters is how Meeting Place Guanajuato (mpG) unfolds from September 8 to 10, in Guanajuato City.

The goal of this fair is to strengthen the meetings and events industry and consolidate Guanajuato as a strategic destination for congresses, conventions, and incentive trips.

Meeting Place Guanajuato is part of the renowned Meeting Place Mexico (mpM) platform, which in its 22 years of history has positioned itself as the most productive exhibition in the specialized events segment in Mexico, generating an average of 168 congresses, conventions, and incentive trips per year. It also maintains a strategic alliance with IMEX, a business tourism fair in the United States.
This first edition, held in Guanajuato, joins the list of Meeting Place Mexico venues, consolidating its leadership as a destination that combines tradition, hospitality, and modernity to serve the meetings industry. This ensures high global standards and that key figures in the sector have Guanajuato in their scope.

The event represents an invaluable opportunity for Guanajuato to showcase its infrastructure, services, and attractions as a competitive destination in meeting tourism, with a special focus on incentive travel and, in addition, corporate events.
Thirty national meeting planners are in the event, including representatives from laboratories, insurance companies, and specialized agencies, as well as 30 local exhibitors from the Guanajuato meetings industry and 30 national exhibitors from hotels, destinations, and industry suppliers.

Meeting Place Guanajuato also include a training program focused on industry professionalization. Among the keynote speakers programmed include Fernando Compean, recognized worldwide as the only professional with all three international certifications in incentive travel: Certified Incentive Specialist (CIS), Certified Incentive Travel Executive (CITE), and Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP). He shares his experience and leadership in designing motivational and incentive programs to benefit the State’s tourism industry in this segment.

This Meeting Place Guanajuato helps position the city as the most aspirational non-beach destination in Mexico and Latin America for incentive travel and meeting tourism, thanks to its identity, including two heritage cities, six magic towns, and the enchanting hospitality that characterizes the service offered by the Guanajuatenses.
