The Guanajuato Tourism Secretary and Guanajuato’s tourism industry, held more than 600 business meetings with companies and national and international media at the Tianguis Turistico Mexico in Acapulco.
Public and private sectors
The synergy between the private and public sectors of Guanajuato strengthened the tourist activity, by promoting -in this important event, the most relevant of the Tourism sector of Mexico- the great diversity of segments, attractions, destinations, products, services, events and connectivity of the destination Guanajuato at the “Guanajuato, Live Great Stories” stand.
This great job of promoting tourism was achieved with the collaboration of:
- Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, Secretary of Tourism
- The Directions of Marketing, Public Relations and Promotion and Diffusion of the SECTUR
- The tourism destinations of Silao, Leon, Celaya and Irapuato.
Also in the event were the World Heritage Cities:
- Guanajuato
- San Miguel de Allende
Besides the Magical Towns:
- Mineral de Pozos
- Salvatierra
- Yuriria
- Jalpa de Canovas
- Comonfort
- Dolores Hidalgo CIN
Also participating were:
- The Grape and Wine Associations of the state of Guanajuato
- The Guanajuato Nature and Adventure Tourism Association (ATNAG).
Actvities
In these 3 days of Tianguis Turístico, from May 23 to 25, attendees were also delighted with gastronomic and distillate tastings; they also had fun answering trivia about destinations; and appreciated the cultural and artistic activities of Guanajuato.

The Tianguis Turistico was the perfect setting to sign 9 agreements with commercial partners Despegar / BestDay, Capital Bus CDMX, CONEXSTUR, Aeromexico, Expedia, Mexitours, Planet IFE+Volaris, Planet IFE+VivaAerobus, Price Travel -Mexico and Colombia-.
New connections
A collaboration agreement was signed between Guanajuato, Guerrero and Michoacan and Volaris announced the flight that will connect Yucatan with El Bajío, this new route will connect with Merida.
