Governor presides the closing ceremony of the Commemoration of the 200 Years of the End of the Fight for Independence
Values given to us by Independence must be kept alive, says Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo

The commemoration of the end of the fight for Independence that gave us a homeland and freedom, nourishes our love for Mexico and strengthens the links of national unity.
200 Years of Independence
Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, chaired the closing ceremony of the Commemoration of 200 Years of the Achievment of the National Independence, where, as President of the State Commission of the Commemoration 2021, the Governor noted that the Libertarian and Democrat Mexico was born in Guanajuato.
Mexico was born here
“We should always remember that Mexico was born here; that the character and determination that identify the Mexican people and which has been fundamental to overcome challenges and obstacles started here”, said the Governor.
The State Commission of Commemorations 2021 supervised more than 400 activities, said the Governor, “and it has accomplished the commitment of preserving and promoting the national values in all sectors of the population”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
“Today we have a great responsibility: Keep alive the flame of liberty and promote the unity for which those national heroes fought. I invite you to do all that you can do so that the flame of love for a free and independent Mexico keeps alive”

“For this flame of liberty to keep flaming in each Guanajuatense, in each Mexican, so that it makes their heart beat strong and that it is the link that maintains united our society”, noted Rodriguez Vallejo.
Defend Freedom and Democracy
The Governor of Guanajuato, said that commemorating 200 years of the end of the fight for National Independence, reflects the role of Guanajuato in confirming its vocation to defend freedom and democracy.
“We are convinced, that people who know their story, will honor those that wrote it and will defend with the same passion the ideals of the Mother Land”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
A great job
“I wish to recognize organizers for the great job they did. And I also want to recognize the Legislative and Judiciary Powers, who at all moments joined with their effort to increase the reach of the messages. Also thanks to Municipal Administrations, Education Institutions and to all society”, said the Governor.
Love for Mexico
“The participation of all allowed for more Guanajuatenses to remember the passages of history and revive the flame of love for Mexico”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
