Magic Towns of Guanajuato are taken to Veracruz

Working with municipalities and Committees has strengthened the activity and development of these magical destinations of Guanajuato

The six Magic Towns of Guanajuato have taken Mexicans and foreigners on a fascinating journey where history, culture and nature intertwine to live great stories.

In the sixth edition of the Tianguis of Magic Towns, held at the World Trade Center in the city of Boca del Rio, Veracruz, from September 10 to 12, Jalpa de Canovas, Dolores Hidalgo CIN, Mineral de Pozos, Yuriria, Salvatierra and Comonfort, showed their tourist diversity in order to attract more eyes to the lands of Guanajuato.

This year, Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, Secretary of Tourism of the State of Guanajuato, worked closely with the City Councils and the Magic Towns Committees at the launch of this tourist event that celebrates the diversity and richness of these destinations, those places that preserve the essence of our traditions and the spirit of authenticity.

The Magic Towns of Guanajuato vibrate with their culture, their rich gastronomy and their impressive landscapes; all these benefits were exhibited in the Tianguis, as well as their artistic expressions and the vast craftsmanship such as mortars, pre-Hispanic instruments, basketry, Judea masks, guava and quince candy.

Attendees at this event also enjoyed the gastronomic pavilion of traditional cuisine from Jalpa de Canovas “Traditional Walnut Mole” and “Ice Cream from Dolores Hidalgo CIN”, learned about traditional medicine from Mineral de Pozos, and were surprised by the Guamares Dance.  

Participants also present, tourist experiences in the romance, nature, wine, spirits, culture and gastronomy segments that are already operating in each Magical Town. The offer is available on the Guanajuato.mx website and on the social networks of each of the municipalities and operators.

Guanajuato has participated successfully in all the Magic Towns Tianguis (Fairs) since the first one that was celebrated in Hidalgo and managed to expose its tourist treasures, creating alliances, and attracting more tourists to every magical corner of Guanajuato.
