The Logistics Gateway of El Bajio and El Buen Tono competitiveness hub are presented to education institutions

Major of Celaya, Javier Mendoza Marquez, and the Director of Guanajuato Puerto Interior, Hector Lopez Santillana, led a meeting with directors of Education Institutions of Celaya and all of Guanajuato, to present the projects of the Logistics Gateway of El Bajio and the Center for Innovation, Competitiveness and Creative Economy, El Buen Tono.
“These two great projects, the Logistics Gate of El Bajio and the competitiveness hub “El Buen Tono”, will be very important for the economic and social development of Celaya and the Laja-Bajio Region, where eight neighboring municipalities converge; it will be the perfect place to function as a loading and unloading point for trains and other vehicles, which is of great value and interest to companies for the transportation of their goods,” said Javier Mendoza Marquez.
The director of Guanajuato Interior Port, Hector Lopez Santillana, presented the Logistics Gate of El Bajio, which will be the second dry port in Guanajuato, Lopez said that at least 22 long trains pass through Celaya every day and gave an overview of the type of logistics center that the Celaya could become.
This meeting with education institutions is “an initial stop since the relationship with the academy must be continuous to guarantee the success of the project”, said Lopez.
The meeting allowed this project to be shared with another important sector and for those who run the education institutions in Guanajuato to learn about the education profiles that will gain relevance with the implementation of these projects, reducing the gap between school and the labor sector.
Present in the event were directors of TecNM in Celaya, SABES, UTLB, UPG Juventino Rosas and Cortazar, the University of Celaya, the Arturo Rosenblueth University, TecNM campus Roque, CRODE, CETMEJA, CETIS, UDL, UNITESBA, among other.
