The President of COPARMEX reiterates his support for the actions of SEDESHU in favor of families from Guanajuato

Following up on the commitment to strengthen ties between the State Government and civil society, the Secretary of Social and Human Development of the State of Guanajuato, Libia Dennise, held a meeting with representatives of the Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic –COPARMEX- Metropolitan Area of Leon.
The head of SEDESHU, thanked the invitation and later shared the actions that are under way by the State Government through the Secretary itself in favor of the people of Guanajuato.
Libia said that there is full recognition by the government headed by Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, “that the key to the work we do is to work as a team, society and government, and that has been demonstrated over the years in Guanajuato.”
The President of COPARMEX Metropolitan Area of Leon, Hector Rodriguez Velazquez, welcomed the Secretary to give way to the dialogue in which Libia explained the actions being done for the benefit of Guanajuato.
Velazquez noted that, currently, they have:
- Almost 500 affiliated companies
- Generate more than 40,000 jobs
Work on 6 priority issues:
- Rule of Law, Justice and Security
- Democratic Development
- Inclusive Development
- Labor, Educational and Health Issues
- Entrepreneurship and Innovation
- The Company as a Vehicle of Change
Velazquez pointed out that among his purposes is to be able to affiliate with more and better companies with decent and well-paid jobs, “in COPARMEX Zona Metropolitana de Leon, we are one of those who throw away the stone, but we do not hide our hand, but we put the other to continue working because in the end it is about building a better Leon, a better Guanajuato and a better Mexico”.
Velazquez recognized the work of the Secretary since her arrival at Social and Human Development, “we know about the efforts that you are making in SEDESHU and we will be on the lookout to join to your effort, you have our support to be able to lead to more people aspiring to a better life through the culture of work and effort”.
As part of the presentation of the strategy at SEDESHU, Libia Dennise emphasized that “what we want is for this policy in Guanajuato to be subsidiary and non-assistance, that what it seeks is for there to be support due to a condition of vulnerability, but that it be also accompany with elements that allow the families of Guanajuato to be able to get ahead, what we want is that the culture of effort is not lost.
Hector Rodriguez Velazquez said that “there are many efforts being made in SEDESHU, and what is clear to me is that neither the government alone, nor society alone can do it”, he said, while thanking the Secretary for the reunion.
