The Governor delivered the paving of Santos Degollado Street and the main street of the Cerrito community

“I am here to listen to you, to assist you and to resolve; to echo what we want in this Government. Less windows and more closeness,” said the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, at the start of the first CONMIGOBERNADORA Caravan in Silao.
The goal of the 21 agencies participating in the Caravan, which offers more than 60 procedures and services, is to understand the needs and provide solutions closely, it will travel to all 46 municipalities, in public spaces with high presence of people and easy access.
“This is not only a close government, it is a present government,” said the State Governor.
Through these fairs, the Government of the People manages procedures such as driver’s licenses, civil registry certificates, education and training offers, information on support and financing, legal advice on girls, boys and adolescents, information and services for taxpayers, food and home garden guidance, support for the countryside, as well as MarcaGTO products and crafts, among other services.
The new beginning for the State is based on the close attention to citizens by officials of the Public Administration. For this reason, services and procedures go beyond the counter to get closer to where people are.
“What we want is to be there, to work hand in hand. We will be a government that is attentive to what you need,” said the Governor.
At this start, the heads of the departments were present, guiding and assisting those who came seeking help.
Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, and Mayor of Silao, Janet Melanie Murillo Chavez, delivered the paving of the Santos Degollado Street, which covered the section between 5 de Mayo and Arenal streets.
In this work, which is part of the “Beautifying My Neighborhood” program of the Secretary of New Beginning, the drinking water lines were also rehabilitated and 50 sanitary discharges were installed.
The Governor also handed over the main street of the town El Cerrito, where the sewage and drinking water network were rehabilitated.
The Governor, was with the Secretary of New Beginning, Rosario Corona Amador, and announced the installation of a roof over the courtyard of the “Jose Rivas Narvaez” Elementary School in the El Cerrito community.
Later, at the Mercado Victoria, the Governor delivered 55 grants through the ‘Mi Tienda al 100’ program implemented by the Ministry of Economy, with an investment of more than 400 thousand pesos.
The tenants of six merchant unions received equipment in order to modernize their businesses and strengthen their economy.
The Mercado Victoria also inaugurated a new electrification system after 35 years without maintenance. The State invested more than 4 million and the Municipality 2.7 million pesos.
This intervention included the installation of wiring and LED lights to renew the market’s electrical network.
