The Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, and the President of the State DIF, Juan Carlos Montesinos Carranza, inaugurated the Family-Friendly Spaces at the State DIF and the Government Palace.
These spaces are intended to offer safe places where children and adolescents can participate in recreational, educational, and cultural activities while their families complete procedures, access services, or work.
“This is a space for our children. Any time you, as parents, need to bring your children for any reason, your children are welcome to enjoy this place, where there will be activities for them,” said Libia Dennise, who was with the Secretary of Government, Jorge Daniel Jimenez Lona.
The People’s Government has adopted the principle of shared family, work, and personal responsibility as part of its policy of labor equality and non-discrimination. Therefore, through the State DIF (Integral Family Development), it offers premises that facilitate care for children and adolescents, as well as flexibility for those who perform these tasks.
These spaces, were created at the initiative of Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, Governor of the People, are available to visitors and staff working at the Government Palace or the State DIF.
At the State DIF: A playroom designed exclusively for children and adolescents. Capacity for 12 people. Here they can play, read, and socialize, fostering their creativity and learning, always under the supervision of a responsible adult.
There is a co-working space with capacity for 12 people, designed for both, adults who need to work or complete paperwork, and children who can complete homework in a quiet environment.
There is also a small auditorium with a capacity for 20 people, it is ideal for group activities such as film screenings or talks. Audiovisual equipment is available and the program is operated by the DIF.
As for the Government Palace, there is a playroom and a lactation room.
These spaces are available during office hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The creation of these spaces responds to a growing need in today’s society: achieving harmony between work and family life. With these areas, the People’s Government, through the DIF, offers a practical and safe solution.
The premises also provide peace of mind for mothers and fathers while they do their activities, these spaces have a positive impact on children’s overall development.
