In compliance with the law, Libia Dennise submitted her First Government Report to Representatives of the Sixty-Sixth Legislature

“Today is a historic moment. Today for the first time, a woman delivers the Government Report to another woman in this Congress of Guanajuato, which represents an unprecedented milestone in the history of our beloved Guanajuato,” said the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, when delivering her First Government Report.
The State Governor delivered this document to the President of the State Congress, Miriam Reyes Carmona, before Representatives of the Sixty-Sixth Legislature.
Libia Dennise said she is a woman convinced of the division of powers, accountability, freedoms and democracy; and understands the responsibility that comes with being the first woman to govern the State.
“It is a moment that also implies a lot of responsibility, because we must respond with results to the struggle of so many women who paved the way for us and have allowed us to be here today, women who fought not for privileges, but for substantive equality,” said the Governor.
In addition, the Governor reaffirmed her commitment and the commitment of the People’s Government to transparency, making it a priority to reach every corner of Guanajuato.
The President of Congress, Miriam Reyes Carmona, praised this moment as it was attended by two women. “For the first time, Congress receives the Government Report from a female Governor, this is no small detail. History is being written today with two women leading two powers in the State and doing so in the month of women is truly symbolic,” said the legislator.
The First Government Report includes concrete results and, for the only time, links the efforts of two administrations, between the solid progress of the last year and the foundations of this New Beginning.
Among the most important actions reported in this document, the renewal in the areas of security and law enforcement is mentioned, as it is a commitment of the current State Administration.
“Women deserve all rights and living a full life and it is a commitment of this People’s Government,” said the Governor.
Social infrastructure actions, drinking water works, drainage, street paving, rehabilitation of public spaces and housing improvements are a priority for Guanajuatense families to live better.
In terms of education, the People’s Government knocked on the doors of millions of homes to help students who dropped out of school, and provided support and scholarships.
Guanajuato remains in the top spots in terms of performance and administration in Mexico, it is ranked as the fifth most important economy in the country and despite the uncertainty that has been generated in recent times by external factors, the State continues to generate jobs and trust to invest.
The people of Guanajuato have the best health system in Mexico, with a supply of medicines and quality care, “which can certainly be improved, but we will be putting our efforts into continuing to have a health system that is up to the demands of our people,” said Libia Dennise.
