Libia delivered support to merchants

The Governor of the People inaugurated the Coroneo Aquatic Center and the rehabilitation of Los Pinos, 16 de Septiembre, Cerrada de la Cruz, and Miguel Hidalgo streets

“This is the Government of the People, we owe ourselves to you, we work for you every day, and this program is to recognize the people who work. This will be the administration of commerce,” said the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo.

Libia Dennise led a working tour of this municipality where she reaffirmed her commitment to the people of Guanajuato, with concrete actions that strengthen the local economy and improve the quality of life of families, with a special focus on women.

The State Governor led the regional delivery of productive equipment to merchants benefiting from the “My Store at 100” and “My Plaza: Tianguis Markets of the People” programs, with a total investment of 1.8 million pesos by the State and Municipalities.

These programs, promoted by the Secretary of Economy, seek to modernize and professionalize permanent and semi-permanent businesses through training, improved image, and equipment, and above all, by providing self-financing opportunities for Guanajuatense families.

In total, 116 merchants were benefited in the Region 5-B, which includes the municipalities of:

• Acambaro, Coroneo, Jerecuaro, and Tarandacuao, of whom 82 are women

This support reinforces the Governor’s commitment to promoting economic development with a gender perspective, providing tools for more women to lead and strengthen their businesses.

Libia Dennise handed over the Aquatic Center, the first of its kind in the southeast of the State, with Mayor Luis Fernando Velazquez Esquivel.

This premises feature a six-lane semi-Olympic pool, locker rooms, restrooms, retractable bleachers, a team area, and administrative offices; it is the sixth of its kind in Guanajuato.

“Today, Coroneo has its Aquatic Center, which is also the first in the southeast of the state, and which will benefit the municipalities of Jerécuaro, Tarandacuao, and Acámbaro,” said Libia Dennise.

In addition, through the Secretary of the New Beginning, the facilities at the Coroneo New Beginning Center have been enhanced with the new Multipurpose Hall, featuring sports areas for padel tennis and other sports. Exterior work and a basketball court were also built.

The Governor and municipal authorities handed over the paving works on the streets Los Pinos, 16 de septiembre, Cerrada de la Cruz and Miguel Hidalgo.

More than 9.7 million pesos were invested in these initiatives as part of the “Beautifying My Neighborhood” and “Basic Services for the People” programs.

On her working tour, the Governor was accompanied by Luis Fernando Velazquez Esquivel, Mayor of Coroneo and other local and State Officials.
