Mayor of Leon, Ale Gutierrez, insisted in the need to strengthen the “schools for parents” to prevent addictions at home.

The most important actors

Ale talked about one of the most important actors in society in preventing addictions, parents, she said to some 1,200 younsters and parents. The Mayor congratulated those parents who have come close to her Administration to ask for workshops and assistance, because they show a real willingness to maintain an improvement in the education of their children.

Asking for help

“Continuously parents have expressed that they need “schools for parents”, each asks for help with different words: ‘I need you to help me educate my kids’, ‘I don’t know how to guide them or be close to them’, My children are adolescents and I can’t have a conversation with them any more’, ‘I don’t know what they are doing’, ‘I am not a leader no more’, ‘They don’t respect me’, That’s where we noticed a sign of alert. I want to praise those parents who told me: ‘I need you to help me be a better father, a better mother’, because they are accepting it, and they want to be better. Count on us to help you”, said Ale Gutierrez.

Economy, Infrastructure, Better Living

“We know Leon has been a spearhead in economy. Today, what we must do besides the advance in economy or infrastructure, is to become a spearhead, but now with more human groups that make us live better in this City”, said Ale Gutierrez.

“We can all make a difference if we stop being deaf and blind to the needs of others. We must stop being egothistic, put aside individualism and start thinking as a community. We can not complain and just cross our arms, we can all be part of the transformation”
