The State of Guanajuato is ready to receive the 6th. edition of the “Sustainable & Social Tourism Summit”, the most important sustainable and socially responsible tourism event in Latin America.
Being a pioneer state in the country in promoting tourism sustainability from the public administration through the Sustainability Model, Guanajuato was selected as the venue to develop a program that incorporates very high-level panelists such as Jeremy Sampson, CEO of The Travel Foundation; Jorge Moller, GSTC Latin America representative and Founder of Regenera and Design of experiences for people with disabilities; and Isaac Padrós, president of Multicapacitats, Spain.
The Secretary of Tourism of the State of Guanajuato, which has launched the “Internal Sustainability Policy” with the aim of incorporating sustainability criteria in actions, programs, projects and events, will host this Summit that will take place on August 31 to September 3 at Poliforum León.
The Summit will carry out actions to offset the carbon emissions generated by the event and this will be carried out in conjunction with the Sierra Gorda Ecological Group.
The event brings together providers of services and/or products that are related to sustainability issues that will promote what they do. In addition, there will be spaces for interaction and networking.
In 5 editions, the “Summit” has brought together more than 2,150 participants -high-level businessmen, members of various associations and private companies in matters of sustainability in the sector-, 216 international and national speakers and has reunited 160 national and international media.
The speakers have come from more than 35 countries on 5 continents and have had the participation of the 32 States of Mexico.
