The Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, inaugurated the First International Fashion Forum in Guanajuato “Trends & Design Fashion Forum 2022”, organized by the Guanajuato Fashion Cluster.
This forum aims to transfer high-value knowledge to the productive sectors that make up the Mexican fashion industry, in addition to developing tools and strategies through the experience of national and international speakers.
“We are showing a vision of the future and also a capacity for collaboration and adaptation, so that productive activities continue, creating jobs and promoting the economic recovery of Guanajuato”, said the Governor.
“We share this vision, because it is moving from manufacture to Mindfacture, it is design, it is innovation, it is betting on fashion. For this reason, this First International Fashion Forum in Guanajuato is going to be a turning point and it is a joint effort of society and Government”, said Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
This Forum is part of the November Fashion Month agenda and the “Fashion Industry, Making Business” project to promote Mexican fashion in the global context; and strengthens the position of Guanajuato worldwide, as well as its strategy to promote and encourage the development of its productive sectors:
- Leather, supplies, footwear, leather goods, textiles, clothing, hats and jewelry
“Trends & Design Fashion Forum 2022” presents a series of conferences, among which stand out the topics of value for the productive sectors aligned with the Fashion Industry strategy of the Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development.
The main conference was given by Steve Madden, businessman and designer, who for more than 30 years of experience has distinguished himself by design and creativity in footwear, in addition to revolutionizing the market with the launch of handbags.
Darcy Winslow, a Nike collaborator for 21 years in different positions, was presented as part of the activities of this fórum. Winslow presented the conference “Interpreting your consumers and attracting new generations”.
The Colombian designer Pepa Pombo also participated with her conference, “Originality gives identity”.
Italian businessman Cleto Sagripanti presented the conference “How to create a Mexican fashion industry in the international market?”
The Mexican designer Ricardo Seco offered the conference “Cultura Pride: The value of building an international brand”.
Beatriz Calles, general director of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Mexico, gave the conference, “Searching for the path to success in the world of fashion”.
Anuar Layun, a Mexican urban fashion designer, presented “The business of fashion and the periphery of the system”.
The Guanajuato Fashion Cluster is made up of APIMEX, CANAIVE, CICEG and CICUR, and the Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development -SDES-, of the Government of Guanajuato, organizations that add their talent to the realization of this forum, which promotes economic development of Guanajuato.
