The Judiciary of Guanajuato has built, over the years, a firm leadership in the national legal field.
This was stated by Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, when participating in the presentation of the 2022 Annual Labor Report, by Magistrate Ma. Rosa Medina Rodriguez, President of the State Supreme Court of Justice.
“Today, upon hearing this report of results presented by the President of the Judiciary, Rosa Medina Rodriguez, we confirm the value of the institutions in Guanajuato and the enforcement of the Rule of Law,” said the Governor.
The Governor recognized the magistrates that make up the Supreme Court of Justice, for the professionalism and responsibility in carrying out their duties, for the benefit of society.
“I wish to extend my recognition to all the people who collaborate so that there is prompt and expeditious justice in our State. Also to the members of the Council of the Judiciary, who with their work promote the consolidation of this institution, which is the pride of Guanajuato”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor noted some aspects of the 2022 results report, such as the work carried out through the Civil Court of the Specialized Family Matters Party. From it, it has been shown that in Guanajuato adoption is possible, resolving 156 adoptions in favor of the applicants.
Also noteworthy is the implementation of the Registry of Alimony Debtors, which has provided legal certainty to alimony creditors. With the above, a very important social demand is met, said the Governor.
Another aspect that allows us to see the quality of work and the great vision of the Judiciary of Guanajuato, is the implementation of the new labor justice system, noted the Governor.
“As we know, the conciliatory function in the labor issue remained in the hands of the State administration, while the jurisdictional function passed on to the Judiciary. My appreciation for the work done to make possible the entry into force of this new system, with adequate infrastructure and personnel for the function”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.
There are 20 judges, 33 secretaries and 24 actuaries specialized in the matter, who operate in the 4 Labor Justice Centers located in the municipalities of Guanajuato, Celaya, Irapuato and Leon.
This way, in Guanajuato, labor conflicts are resolved in jurisdictional headquarters, with predominantly oral processes that meet the principles of immediacy, continuity, concentration and publicity, added the Governor.
He noted that according to the 2022 National Census for the Administration of State Justice, Guanajuato was the third Federal State with the highest number of published sentences issued, only behind the State of Mexico and Mexico City.
The Governor congratulated the judges of the Judiciary for obtaining first place in civil justice, according to the Rule of Law Index in Mexico 2021-2022, prepared by the World Justice Project.
The same study recognizes the Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms in Guanajuato as accessible, impartial and expeditious, said the Governor.
“We are very proud to have a solid and reliable institution, which with its work generates legal security for people and organizations. Congratulations for this Annual Report and for this accountability exercise”, said the Governor.
Ma. Rosa Medina RodrIguez, President of the State Supreme Court of Justice -STJE-, highlighted that the Judiciary has been characterized by its independence, impartiality, legality, honesty and honorability, which have allowed it to achieve a level of excellence in the delivery of justice in the State by issuing equitable, rational, quality and timely resolutions.
“The commitment of the Judiciary of the State of Guanajuato consists of deploying comprehensive actions to continue as a vanguard, responsible and transparent institution, which deals with generating legal security, economic growth as well as strengthening the Rule of Law”, said Medina Rodriguez.
