ATECS announces an $11 million investment in Leon; while Senyo will invest $20 million in a new plant in Abasolo

Osaka, Japan/Gto News

As Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo continues her intensive work tour in Japan, during this day Governor of the People visited the ATECS facilities in Nara, Japan, where an $11 million investment and the creation of 130 new jobs in Leon were announced.

“We are here to express our gratitude and reaffirm our commitment to invest in Guanajuato, because we know that investment represents trust, and that is very important to us,” said the State Governor to the top executives of the automotive company.

ATECS announced its installation in Leon starting in 2026. Its arrival will contribute to strengthen Guanajuato’s electromobility ecosystem and its positioning, while also enabling the transfer of knowledge and advanced technologies.

This company was founded in 1993 in Osaka Prefecture with its headquarters, ATECS (Asano Technical Communication Service). ATECS is currently a joint venture of the Japanese companies ATEX (51%) and NAGASE (49%).

It is a company specialized in the development, design, and manufacture of plastic parts using the injection molding process, with a strong focus on insert molding of components that combine high-performance plastics with other materials, such as metal.

In all of its facilities the company exclusively uses electric vertical injection molding machines, designed to process advanced engineering plastics. These machines are equipped with high-precision thermal control systems and corrosion-resistant screws, ensuring high-quality finished products.

At its new plant in Leon, ATECS will manufacture precision plastic insert-molded parts for the automotive industry, specifically for electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrids, primarily for the North American market (United States and Canada). Its direct customers are Panasonic (Mexicali) and Honda (plants in Ohio, USA, and Canada).

Japan consolidates its position as Guanajuato’s leading trading partner, and its companies continue to invest in the State, ensuring the continued existence of thousands of direct and indirect jobs in the automotive sector.

Investment for Abasolo

During this day the Governor also met with executives of Senyo, which announced a $20 million investment for the construction of a plant in Abasolo, which will generate 70 direct jobs.

“We are very proud to have the trust of a world-class company like Senyo. We are thrilled that this company, with a long tradition in Japan, is announcing a $20 million investment today,” said the State Leader in a meeting with Masafumi Kishida, president of Senyo Co., Ltd.

“This visit is very important to me, as I thank you for your trust. Our relationship with Japan is very strong, not only economically, but also in terms of values, and we work to ensure that the more than 2,000 Japanese living in Guanajuato feel at home and learn from each other about our cultures and traditions,” the Governor expressed.

Senyo Co., Ltd. was founded in 1956 and is headquartered in Kaizuka, Osaka Prefecture. Over its six decades of existence, Senyo specializes in the manufacture of high-precision mechanical components, particularly bearings and mechanized parts used in the automotive and industrial machinery industries.

Its key clients include renowned companies such as NTN Corporation, Sanyo Special Steel Co., Ltd., and Okida Iron Works Co., Ltd.
