With an investment of 993 million dollars and the generation of more than 1,500 jobs, Irapuato ranks 3rd. in Guanajuato in attracting investments in the present state administration.
The administration Governor of Guanajuato Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo promotes the consolidation of the Guanajuato industrial corridor by promoting the competitive advantages of the 46 municipalities.
The head of the Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development -SDES-, Ramón Alfaro Gómez said that thanks to its industrial parks, connectivity, infrastructure, educational relevance, quality of life, services, among other advantages, Irapuato is one of the most attractive cities in Guanajuato for national and foreign investors.
From 2018 to date, the companies that have established or expanded their operations in this municipality are from the sectors:
- Automotive-auto parts, textile-clothing, plastic, agro-food, metal-mechanical and mining
The countries of origin of these companies are:
- United States, Mexico, Japan, Finland, France, Germany, Portugal, The Netherlands and India
Through the Undersecretary of Investment Attraction, initiatives are taken that have produced positive results in the realization of productive projects of national and international capital, generating jobs and improving the quality of life of Guanajuatenses.
With the arrival of these new projects, the local economy is energized, new employment opportunities are opened and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises -MSMEs- are added to the value chains of these investments.
Alfaro Gomez confirmed the commitment of the present State Administration to the business environment and thanked the private initiative for their trust in public policies for the development of the economy of Guanajuato.
