Governor presides over the inauguration of the third REHAU plant in Apaseo El Grande

“We have reached more than 7 billion dollars in investments, which speaks of the trust of many companies that, like REHAU, continue to invest in Guanajuato”, said the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor led the inauguration ceremony of the third edge covering plant and the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the REHAU company of Mexico, in Apaseo El Grande.
The Governor recalled that three decades ago this great company arrived in Mexico. During this time, it has managed to build a great success story, alongside important clients such as Mabe, Whirlpool, Volkswagen and Ford, among others.
Currently they already have 4 production plants, one in Monterrey and three here in Apaseo El Grande, including this one that is being inaugurated. “And that gives us great pleasure, because by continuing to invest in Guanajuato, they demonstrate their trust in our human capital and in our state,” said the Governor.
Rodriguez Vallejo thanked the managers, especially Veit Wagner, Global CEO of REHAU; and Thomas Troeger, CEO for America, for always trusting Guanajuato and its Apaseo El Grande plant.
The Governor noted that with this new plant with an investment of 25 million dollars and the generation of 200 additional jobs, REHAU reaches a stage of consolidation in Guanajuato.
“And this is good news for everyone: for the company that continues to achieve its goals; for the families who live from work in this company, and for Guanajuato and Mexico that continue to generate the appropriate environment for investments and progress,” said Rodriguez Vallejo.
The Governor noted that REHAU and Guanajuato share values and principles, for the work philosophy, and for the taste for innovation and creativity.
Rodriguez Vallejo recalled that a little over a year ago, on November 14, 2022, “we were here to lay the first stone of this third floor. And today we are back for the inauguration.”
This plant is now ready to manufacture edge covers for export to traditional clients such as Herman Miller, and others such as Placacentros, Masisa, Tableros del Norte, Mobel and Ikea, in the United States and Canada, among others, said the Governor.
Rodriguez Vallejo said that today his Administration has a new goal which is to reach 8 billion dollars before the end of this six-year term. “I am sure that we will achieve it, because investors know that Guanajuato is the best place to invest in Mexico.”
The Governor said that it is a source of great pride that a world-class company like REHAU, which has more than 20,000 employees globally in 54 countries, increases its roots in our land.
“And even more proud that you are celebrating with us 30 years since your arrival in Mexico. Guanajuato is now your home. Congratulations on three decades of success, development and growth. Thanks to this trust, and the joint work of society and government, today Guanajuato is the 5th. economy of Mexico,” said the Governor.
Veit Wagner, Global CEO of REHAU, after thanking the State Government for supporting this company, said that it is a source of satisfaction to generate more jobs for the people of Guanajuato.
REHAU is a multinational company of German origin, headquartered in Switzerland, and global headquarters of operations in Germany, dedicated to the transformation of polymers for the automotive, construction, and industrial sectors.
