With a capital of 2 thousand 379 million dollars and the commitment to generate more than 8 thousand 300 jobs, the state of Guanajuato closed 2022 with 26 new investment projects.
Two years before the end of the present administration headed by Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, the State Government managed to exceed the goal of attracting investment by adding 5,414 million dollars in 114 projects and the generation of 44,000 jobs.
The head of the Secretary for Sustainable Economic Development –SDES-, Ramon Alfaro Gomez, said that these results are a reality because of the high level of competitiveness of Guanajuato, its business ecosystem and the unique advantages of the State that make it attractive for national and international investors.
The new investments and expansions that occurred this year are in the sectors:
- Automotive-auto parts, new technologies, agro-food, construction, plastics, industry in general, metal-mechanics, services, textile-clothing and leather-footwear-supplies
Guanajuato consolidates its commercial relations with other countries by completing these projects that come from:
- United States of America, Germany, Italy, France, Mexico, Japan, Switzerland, Austria, the United Kingdom, Korea, Spain, Taiwan, China, Canada, the Netherlands, Colombia, Slovenia, India and Portugal
One of the priorities of the economic policy is to diversify and balance economic development, and the projects were positioned inside and outside the industrial corridor in municipalities such as:
- Silao, Apaseo el Grande, Leon, Irapuato, Celaya, San Luis de la Paz , San Jose Iturbide, San Miguel de Allende, Salamanca, Villagran, Abasolo, Salvatierra, Valle de Santiago, Uriangato, Cortazar, Ocampo, Manuel Doblado and Doctor Mora
Among the expansions in poremises, projects and plans stand out:
- Continental, Pirelli, GKN Driveline, Nestle-Purina, Mazda, Ferrero and Denso
These companies decided, thanks to the trust and certainty in the State, to consolidate their projects in Guanajuato.
Alfaro Gomez said that Guanajuato is consolidated as the epicenter of Industry 4.0 and Mindfacture in Mexico and Latin America, and also said that beyond the economic impact of job creation and preservation, these results mean well-being and quality of life for the Guanajuatense families.
