The People’s Government, through the Prosperity Axis, welcomed the world’s leading knitwear producer, based in Asia and with a broad network of clients around the world.

The goal of the visit is to explore the ability of Guanajuato’s textile sector and evaluate the possibility of establishing strategic alliances with local manufacturers, thereby strengthening the company’s global production network.

The work tour was led by Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, head of the Secretary of Economy, who highlighted the role of industrial connections in generating prosperity in Guanajuato.
This meeting was organized by the Secretary of Economy and the Coordinator for the Promotion of Foreign Trade (COFOCE), an institution to which international buyers approached directly to coordinate their visit to Guanajuato and learn firsthand about the abilities of the region’s textile sector.

The visitors highlighted the importance of Guanajuato having a specialized agency that, unlike other states, provides direct support to MSMEs to boost their internationalization.
Villasenor Aguilar added that investments in Guanajuato are targeted, complementary, and sustainable to diversify the economy and integrate the value chain of Guanajuato’s productive sectors.

This approach reinforces Guanajuato’s vision as a strategic State for the diversification of export markets.
In Guanajuato, there are more than 3,811 economic units dedicated directly to the manufacturing of inputs, textile products, and apparel, providing jobs for more than 25,900 people.

“It is an honor to extend a warm welcome to Guanajuato. Your presence in Guanajuato strengthens the bonds of collaboration and opens new opportunities for our textile industry,” said Karla Ruiz, Coordinator of the Fashion Sector in the Laja-Bajio Region of COFOCE.
