Innovation and Scaling Center for Mindfacture is opened

Guanajuato continues to position itself in the Bajio as the Valley of Mindfacture; the Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, inaugurated the Innovation and Scaling Center for Mindfacture -CIEM- of the Plasma Automation Group -GPA-.

At the CIEM-GPA technological solutions will be provided for the industry, with talent with superior capabilities in the creation of complex machines for the world.

The goal is to show that Mindfacture is real, tangible, achievable and is a secure bet for the development of Guanajuato and Mexico.

“Today I see a Manufacture project materialized in Guanajuato; this is a source of pride, because it is a good legacy for young people”, said the Governor.

“Today we have the opportunity to leave a great legacy so that tomorrow we can be the center of innovation in Mexico, if we set our minds to it with work and continuity; this is the beginning of a great story for Mexico, where Guanajuato is a great example”, said Rodriguez Vallejo.

The CIEM-GPA seeks to:

• Explore opportunities for automation and technological development in the local, national and foreign industry
• Propose and design solutions for challenges and opportunities posed by clients
• Do advanced engineering for modeling
• Simulate the processes to be solved
• Manage the manufacturing of industrial services and with suppliers
• Assemble machinery
• Integrate solutions
• Validate manufactured components
• Install and fine-tune the machinery, solutions and creative components in the premises of customers, among other

The CIEM-GPA was inaugurated in the Guanajuato Puerto Interior industrial park, 5.64 million dollars were invested and 250 direct jobs will be generated.

The intention is that in 3 years the Center will triple its capacity to develop complex machines for the world and can attract an investment to Guanajuato for 100 million dollars a year.

The president and general director of Grupo Plasma Automation, Ernesto Sandoval Rocha, said that his company fulfills a dream by creating this Center because the need to innovate technology is changing the world and with this center, Guanajuato takes a step forward in its vision.

“This is the showcase of Mindfacture, it is a project that consolidates innovation, internationalization and the multiplication of new companies to take advantage of global opportunities”, said the businessman.

GPA is a company from Guanajuato that began as a distributor of automation solutions in 1990 and grew upon the need to manufacture its own equipment, thus, it has traveled the path from manufacturing to Mindfacture.

After 34 years of experience, today GPA is a business unit that creates complex machines and components for industries such as railways, automotive, aerospace, agro-industrial and metalworking.

GPA is an example of a company created to be part of the growth and development of the Guanajuato region.
