With the purpose of exchanging and collaborating on knowledge management and good practices on intellectual disability, State authorities and representatives of civil organizations from Guanajuato and Spain signed an agreement.
“It is about socializing the knowledge in which progress has been made, both in this civil organization in Spain and the Mexican Autism Clinic, Bajio section, as well as the Guanajuato Institute for Persons with Disabilities itself, in search of a better quality of life, development and social inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities”, said the General Director of INGUDIS Jose Grimaldo Colmenero.
The Director was at the ceremony to sign the document of the agreement which was also signed by Ma. de Lourdes Lozano Aranda Diaz, General Director of the Mexican Clinic for Autism and Development Disorders, in addition to Javier Martin Alvarez, General Director of the ALENTA Center.
Lozano Aranda pointed out that these actions are aimed at learning both parties about good work practices in the care of those who live with this condition of disability; “to leave them a better world and a legacy, but we cannot do it alone and we want them to guide us to make laws, to protect their rights and generate alternatives for coordinated work with the government and organized civil society.”
The General Director of the ALENTA Center thanked the opportunity to collaborate in these tasks, “the reason that unites us is to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and for this we are all on the same train.”
The agreement was signed at the INGUDIS facilities in Silao, before representatives of various institutions that work in the field of care for people with autism and intellectual conditions.
“And it happens that knowledge is useless, if it is not shared, it is like a book that you do not read, you forget and we are believers of alliances and in these 10 years of INGUDIS we believe in the collaboration of organized civil society”, said Grimaldo Colmenero.
