With the turning on of the Independence lights in the Main Square, led by Mayor, Roberto Garcia Urbano, the Independence Celebration has started in Purisima del Rincon, in a festive environment with the songs of the Mariachi Juvenil Azteca.
The Mayor thanked for the presence of the City Council and of Enriqueta Martinez Lopez, President of the Municipal DIF, as well as of Purisimense families who even with some rain, participated in the start of the celebrations to commemorate the CCXV Anniversary of the Start of Mexico’s Independence.
Roberto Garcia Urbano noted that these festivities are an opportunity to turn on not only the lights that decorate the Municipality, but also the hope to build a better country.
“Purisima del Rincon is a municipality that lives the patriotic values. With these lights we remember our ancestors and we also turn on the hope in our hearts to face every challenge with unity and strength”, said the Mayor.
Garcia Urbano recognized the work of the staff of Public City Services, who put up the ornaments, as well as the participation of local artists who cooperated for a more festive ceremony.
The program of activities goes from September 1st to September 16th and includes:
Monday September 1st:
- Turn on Independence lights
Saturday September 6th:
- Walk from Purisima to San Francisco del Rincon
Saturday September 13th:
- Ceremony to honor the Heroes of Chapultepec
- Issuing of the Program of the Solemn Patriotic Celebration
Sunday September 14th:
- Basket Ball Tournament
- Entrepreneurial Tianguis
Monday September 15th:
- Folkloric Ballet
- Musical Presentation
- Reading of the Act of Independence
- The Grito celebration
- Fireworks
- Banda Music
Tuesday September 16th:
- Commemorative Civic Parade
- Band Presentation
With this program, Purisima del Rincon is inviting all families to participate united and with patriotic pride in each of the activities programmed for the Independence month.
