More than 800,000 Guanajuatenses have completed their basic education with the support of INAEBA
INAEBA celebrates 18 years of continuous work

Since its creation, 18 years ago, the Institute of Literacy and Basic Education for Adults –INAEBA- has contributed so that 880,448 Guanajuatenses have certified some education level, they are distributed according to as follows:
- 114 thousand 403 learned to read and write
- 217 thousand 803 completed primary school
- 548 thousand 242 finished secondary school
INAEBA has face-to-face and online programs for beneficiaries who want to learn to read and write, finish primary or secondary school; such as:
- Education Model for Life and Work –MEVyT-
- Learning Communities –COA-
- Unique Knowledge Recognition Exam –EURS-
- Special Attention Programs for girls, boys and adolescents 10-14
- Programs for the population with some type of impairment (visual, hearing, motor and mild intellectual)
Among the more than 800,000 beneficiaries of the institute who have certified primary and secondary education is Mr. Pablo Aguirre Rangel, 63, who has shown that obstacles do not exist.
“For me, the more challenges there are, the more I overcome them, and if they put me one or the other, the same ones that I am overcoming in life!”, said Pablo.
He recalled that unfortunately he became an orphan at an early age and he was forced to work from the age of 10 and could not continue in school.
When he reached his youth, he looked for work in different parts of Mexico and even in the United States , and until recently he resumed his studies with the opportunity given to him in the Cueramaro City Administration where he works as a night guard.
“I would have wanted to study a degree in law or political science, one of those two things because I like politics”, said Pablo.
The decrease in the education gap so far in the current administration is:
- 3.5 percentage points
- In 2018 the index was 34.7
- In 2022 it is 31.2
