In Guanajuato we are allies of investment: Libia

The Investment Promotion Committee is sworn in. Officials deliver certificates bearing the “Made in Mexico” emblem

The Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, led the installation and swearing-in ceremony of the Investment Promotion Committee (CPI) and witnessed the presentation of “Made in Mexico” certificates promoted by the Government of Mexico.

This Committee is promoted by the Federal Ministry of Economy within the Plan Mexico and the Portfolio for Shared Prosperity. Its purpose is to create a formal, direct, and reliable space for dialogue between Authorities and business leaders to identify opportunities, eliminate barriers, and support projects that boost productive investment.

The Committee is made up of representatives from the federal Ministry of Economy, State Authorities, and business leaders from the country’s well-being corridors.

In Guanajuato, the CPI is led by the State Secretary of Economy and includes participation from the following clusters: automotive, chemical, aerospace, logistics, fashion, housing, food, information technology, construction and ceramics, as well as local companies and SMEs Brand Guanajuato.

The Governor emphasized that this strategy by the Mexican government is welcome, creating a space for dialogue between authorities and business leaders. This will identify opportunities, address barriers, and support projects that boost productive investment.

Libia Dennise said that in Guanajuato “we are fully committed to and collaboratively supporting this national strategy. We are already working as a team and with a vision for the future on strategic projects, such as the Bajio Logistics Gateway in Celaya, which is part of the Wellbeing Hubs and Plan Mexico”.

“We fully support the Federal Government’s efforts to seek the best trade conditions for the country’s success,” said the Governor. 

“In Guanajuato, we are allies of investment and the promotion of MSMEs, so we will continue to strengthen value chains to improve the quality of life for more Guanajuatense families,” said Libia Dennise.

Also the “Made in Mexico” certifications were presented, a recognition granted by the Secretary of Economy to companies that meet the highest standards of quality, design, and innovation in their processes and products.

“Made in Mexico” is a certification closely linked to the “Marca Guanajuato” Distinction, helping our MSMEs achieve higher levels of competitiveness and market presence.

The event was attended by Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, the State Secretary of Economy; and other Federal State and Municipal Officials.
