The International College of Professionals Specialized in Tourism and Gastronomy AC –CIPETURG- Guanajuato Chapter was established, a body that integrates researchers, teachers, businessmen, public servants and organized civil society.
Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, Secretary of Tourism of Guanajuato, took the oath of this collegiate body of professionals specialized in tourism and gastronomy, legally constituted with a voice in the international, national and, now, State level, which makes synergy and collaborative work between experts for the promotion and development of research, the formulation of projects, advice, support, innovation, and development of capacities for the professionalization of the tourism sector in Mexico and the world.
For CIPETURG, represented by Omar Trejoluna Puente, professor-researcher at the University of Guanajuato -UG- and president of said association, it is very important to democratize knowledge of the tourism phenomenon and its dissemination nationally and internationally, which is within the reach of all the social actors of tourism from their operating premises.
“What happens in Guanajuato is a continuous resilience and evolution. That you make this integration comes to add an effort to what we do in the tourist activity. The start of this chapter is very proud for Guanajuato and for SECTUR, we appreciate that they give us the opportunity to be here and provide different visions, because this is how the strength of our State is built”, asserted Juan Jose Alvarez.
“This is the great reference we have in the State. What Guanajuato achieves despite the adversities. One of the strategic lines of SECTUR for the closure of this administration is professionalization, because the State must be recognized for the professionalization of its service providers so that the experiences of our visitors go beyond expectations,” said the secretary of Tourism.
Omar Trejoluna Puente reported that in this sum of efforts they are working with the Association of Professionals in Tourism of Guanajuato; “The idea is that the entire State of Guanajuato and all the states of the Republic are covered, with institutions and colleagues from the sector. Today we are 18 States that have taken the oath and 3 countries: Spain, Panama and Peru”.
